Welcome back everyone!
This is the temporary home for the Galactic Empire, a Star Wars Community. Along with the Rebel Alliance and the Hutt Syndicates, I hope to maintain a fun environment for those who wish to roleplay.
It should be a familiar environment for most of you. This site itself has been here in one form or another since I was a part of its formation, the Imperial News Grid version 3. It shall continue as a community of players, first and foremost.
I have seen it through good and bad times since the beginning. There has always been difficulties, as with any effort. There are times where the bickering and the arguing seem to outweigh the good. But it is with a slow and steady progress that we continue on. It is a faith and a trust in the players that keeps its alive.
I am reminded of words that Charon has said, in a situation not unlikely the current. "I have met a great many people, players, characters, and in the end, that is what I have treasured most – the community."
We have no malicious intent by continueing the community here, but I always believe that the players voice matters. All the player's efforts should be respected. It is a sad day when those players are saying their goodbyes to each other and hoping to remain in contact with each other. Such is the power of the community.
This community will remain open to all. What changes are in store? I just don't know yet. But I want give this to the players to decide. So I am open to any ideas and any help.
I am welcoming back any player that wishes to join. No questions, no decisions, no problems.
I have faith that we will continue on. I have faith with the players, who have shown great patience and determination.
I have hope in the community. And I believe the players have hope in the community too.

GAME ANNOUNCEMENT
|

Tuesday, October 25 @ 12:55:51 EST
|
This is a message from Seele available on the Swsimulation homepage.
When I first assumed this job of Admin Lead, the future of the game weighed heavily on my mind, and I compared the life of the community to the development of the game. I initially proposed to close the community segment of the game down to allow for the concentration of the Development Team on development of the game. I yielded this opinion in favour of keeping the community open with the use of Tides of Darkness, which was hastily worked on by Vrokar and Byden to be ready for implementation. ToD has been plagued with issues, from factions taking a long time to sort out their players, to red herrings which have seen players go right off the intended path of the Admins, to loss of mod team members. ToD, in my mind, despite all the hard work people like Vrokar have put into it, has not been a success.
With ever increasing drops in player morale and community esprit de corps, I finally feel that my better angels were indeed shouted down when I initially took this job. Given the strong community objections to the idea previously, I gave the community the chance. The community said they would put their time and effort behind it, but unfortunately I have predominantly been let down time and time again. Extremely few people have helped out consistently and effectively. That, combined with an ever increasing workload for the Admins, we are having trouble finding the time to effectively manage and deal with the community's issues. For some time now we have been unable to povide the community with adequate avenues of entertainment on a game level, and have not been able to keep up with the broad spectrum of events on a development and in game level with so few staff.
To this end, I am going to close the game to players, to allow us Admins and Dev to invest our energy soley into the development of SWS and the realisation of the dream. All faction forums will be closed entirely, and all player interactions will occur through the OOC Forums, which will remain open. Access to the IC site will also be removed. No new player accounts will be allowed for now, so any discussions in the OOC Forums will have to be purely from the current community.
There have been a few people who have consistently helped out SWS with good intentions; To those who have, I give you my utmost thanks; You will all be invited to become the Alpha and Beta testers to provide input into game development.
The game will reopen once movement and assets have been programmed, which I cannot see being completed for eight months. The community in its current state would not survive in a healthy manner for eight months. We will e-mail all accounts when the game reopens, in the meantime, you have only the OOC forums to communicate. Those wishing to say their farewells, this is the place. No positions within factions will be guaranteed, and whether you join up with the same faction or a different one will be entirely up to you when the game reopens.
Questions, comments, abuse; The OOC Forums.

Imperial Justice
|

 ISB

-Coruscant, Coruscant Sector - Moments ago, the Deputy Director of the Imperial Security Bureau, ISB-Lieutenant General Jacob Tarrok, announced the execution of a high-ranking Imperial in a special holobroadcast directly from the New Order Complex on Coruscant.
"Order. Discipline. Justice. These are at the core of what it is to be Imperial. They are the principles that drive us and the creed to which we must all adhere. We have always dealt with the rotten few that place their personal gain above the safety and stability of the galaxy."
"Today I bring news of the discovery of a festering sore at the very heart of the Empire. Imperial security agents have discovered that Jaftroy Blighton, former Adjutant General of the Imperial military, has been subverting our efforts to improve the galaxy. Mr Blighton considers himself to be more important than all other Imperial personnel. He has betrayed all those that have served under him. Mr Blighton is a terrible reminder of the fact that there are those in the galaxy that seek to destroy rather than build, that are blind and do not see, that are malefactors rather than benefactors. His treason is a potent signal to all in the galaxy that vigilance must be maintained always. The price of laxity is corruption and betrayal."
"Jaftroy Blighton's fate will be no different to that of any other attempting to betray the ideology of the Empire. Immediately following this announcement, he will be put to death by loyal Imperials. Let his fate be a warning to those whose loyalty is wavering: the Empire will find you out, and when it does, you will face the full force of Imperial justice."
Immediately following the announcement, all Imperial holochannels switched to a live feed of the sentence being carried out by General Tarrok personally, surrounded by numerous white-clad agents of the Imperial Security Bureau.
The Imperial Security Bureau is ever vigilant, and its agents are everywhere. No matter your rank or position, you are never free from their watch.

-Coruscant, Imperial Center- This is Monica Toms reporting to you live from the steps of the Imperial Intelligence headquarters here on Coruscant. There are literally thousands of citizens, soldiers, and politicians alike all gathered here for this distinguished occasion. Behind me, you can see a variety of high ranking officials from Imperial High Command and Imperial Intelligence seated in an ornate viewing box. A large red carpet containing the seal of Imperial Intelligence and that of the New Order side-by-side covers the ground in front of the viewing box. Imperial Royal Guards and Ubiqtorate Guards line the entire area and provide an extra sense of grandeur to the ceremony.
Earlier this morning, it was announced that the Director of Imperial Intelligence, would be making a special presentation to a former member of Imperial Intelligence. It looks like the Chief of Staff, Madam Matrel Byden, and Executor Apollo Skywise have just taken their seats and the Director is about to speak.
Ladies and Gentlemen of the New Order. I come before you today to recognize a comrade in arms. For years, he has served the Empire with distinction and valor. His footprints have been permanently etched into the halls of honor. Serving the Empire in numerous capacities, he remains one of the most experienced members of this Empire. The Imperial Intelligence cross is an award presented to members of the powerful organization that have consistently performed above and beyond the call of duty. In this particular case, the recepient has done much more than to simply further the ideals and goals of Imperial Intelligence. He has been a beacon of light in the ever growing darkness that attempts to suffocate this galaxy. He is the very embodiment of what it means to be an Imperial and a servant of the New Order. Lord Admiral Cherokee, please step forward.
For your outstanding service as the Director of Imperial Intelligence and your steadfast dedication to duty, honor, the New Order, and his Majesty, Emperor Charon, I hereby award you the Imperial Intelligence Cross. May we continue to benefit from your excellence as you join the ranks of those that have gone before you...not only as leaders...but as ambassadors for the ideals of the New Order.
There you have it ladies and gentlemen, today a new recipient of the famed Imperial Intelligence Cross has been named. Lord Admiral Cherokee has become one of only four Imperial Intelligence agents ever to receive this award. It is clear that the crowd here in front of II Headquarters are in large support of this news. Let us hope that more Imperials will continue to strive to follow the example of the honorable, Lord Admiral Thomas Cherokee.
Reporting for Coruscant News Casters, this is Monica Toms.

Long have the people of the Empire served with glory and pride. Long have the people of Velmor served the Empire with courage and conviction. It is in this tradition that the members of the Imperial High Command have commissioned and awarded the following commendation.
From this day forth, the Velmor Legion of Valor will be awarded to Imperial Citizens in good standing who have demonstrated unquestionable loyalty, dedication and conviction to the cause of the Galactic Empire. As a condition of this award, the recipient must be free of any criminal background or harmful allegations. The recipient must hail from a world outside the Inner Core and have served no less than one term in the Armed Service.
The VLV was established by High Command to commemorate the exemplary service of Matrel Byden, a native of Velmor. As the inaugural recipient and the motivation behind the awards creation, this award may only be presented to others by the hand of Matrel Byden herself. It is a great honor that the IHC has presented to the Chief of Staff, but one that is over do.
The award itself is a disk of pure silver velmorium with the image of a single sword backlit by a setting sun. On the reverse side the words “Victory through Valor” are etched. The disk hangs from a thin black ribbon with a band of crimson waves.

IRD Holds Press Conference

 Mandrake Lang News Reporter -IRD-

-Imperial Biological Research Facility KRX-1189, Corellian System-
Chief Engineer Yurgen Ganze, representative of the Imperial Biological Research Division held a press conference today, only moments after a report given by TriNebulon News was broadcast, regarding the myths of the chemical agent “Genocide 7”, and the recent terrorist attacks on Corellia’s Vreni Island.
“Studies indicate that the bioweapon employed by the insurgents on Vreni Island cannot be naturally occurring and are in fact a mutated form of the 'mane epitaphium' virus, originating from the Beh’kar planetary system. A surprisingly resilient virus, the original
succeeded in wiping out over half of the sector’s population before it could be eradicated by aerial bombardment by the local militia after an evacuation of all civilians in the region took place. Both a vaccine and cure to 'mane epitaphium' were discovered shortly
thereafter.
The chemical agent “Genocide-7”, or more correctly known as G-7, was designed with the intent to reanimate dead tissue cells in victims where a skin-graft, and even the application of syntheskins, were not an option. By applying the chemical to a patients system, it would replicate itself many times over, effectively duplicating the tissue cells in the damaged area, and maximizing a victims healing process by 82%. However, initial tests proved disastrous. Where G-7 did in fact replicate its host’s tissue cells, the exposure to DNA mutated it into a potent, and highly lethal virus, effectively killing the recipient. Research was halted immediately, and all physical samples of the chemical were destroyed. What was stolen, were the documents containing “Genocides” formula for reproducing it. What was captured by members of the 1st Assault Fleet was the results of amateur scientists attempting to recreate G-7 as a weapon. Three samples were kept for study…”
*G-7 Samples Captured by 1st Assault Fleet Over Ord Mirit*
Shortly after the Chief Engineer’s statement, footage was released to various news agencies revealing IRD personnel destroying the only physical samples of G-7.
