A press conference was held near the Imperial Security Bureau's Coruscant HQ earlier today, in which an announcement was made regarding a new initiative that the Bureau is launching.
ISB-Brigadier General Jacob Tarrok, Chief of the Bureau's omnipresent Internal Affairs Department, spoke at the conference.
"The Imperial Security Bureau's aim of protecting the New Order is one which we never rest from, and one to which we devote our utmost efforts. Without the light of the Empire, the galaxy would be thrown back into the darkness of the times of the Old Republic, where petty and corrupt individuals and governments wrought terrible damage upon those they claimed to serve.
"The protection of every law-abiding Imperial citizen is foremost in every member of the Empire's military services, along with upholding order. This other principle - that of order and conformity to the laws and rules of our great dominion - is one which is all too easy for people to let slip.
"Slowly, gradually, people stop following protocols, or begin bending laws. Tiny infractions lead to minor infractions, minor infractions lead to major infractions, and soon the wolves of chaos and corruption are at our door.
"Clearly, such consequences are unacceptable. It is the responsibility of this Bureau - and, come to it, of every Imperial citizen - to ensure that those who serve the Empire also represent its ideals.
"The Security Bureau is therefore announcing a clampdown on the adherence of Imperials to the codices central to the essence of what it is to be an Imperial; those dealing with protocol.
"Every Imperial should be familiar with all the necessary protocols, and their conduct should reflect said protocols at all times.
"Any Imperial who flouts protocol should expect a visit from a Security Bureau official.
"Disobedience, disrespect and disorder will not be tolerated by this Bureau."
Immediately after making this announcement, General Tarrok departed the news conference, declining to answer any questions.
