Year 3 Day 180 Political Demonstration Results in Arrests

Picketers outside of Imperial Garrison 1156 on Delaya were dispersed by members of the Imperial Security Bureau late yesterday evening. Arrests included several prominent figures of the local government, including Delayan Governor Trent Jarvis, whose outspoken support of the Imperial Senate has given him a firm foundation for his political campaign, which some say is a direct influence from the System’s primary world of Alderaan.

With local elections soon to take place, the arrest of Governor Jarvis is certain to impact his chances against opponent Jentress Hakken, whose political platform is one of reform, and what Jarvis has come to call, “Pro-Imperialist Propaganda”.

Although it is unknown what the demonstration outside of Garrison 1156 was meant to accomplish, ISB Officials have stated that the crowd had grown to an unsafe level, and was to be dispersed immediately. Arrests were made to those facilitating the refusal and dissension amongst the protestors. Chief amongst them was Governor Trent Jarvis.
