Kabaira, Teilcam System, Outer Rim – The Delgas Medical Corporation, long having been servicing many worlds throughout the Outer Rim has been dealt a critical blow to its medicinal stockpiles, crippling their ability to serve as wide a clientele as they had been for much of the last century.
Estimated revenue losses are in the tens of millions of credits, and the health quality of many systems is expected to degrade over the coming years as Delgas struggles to regain its former prestige.
Already, Delgas medical supplies have seen a drastic skyrocketing of their prices, denying many of the Outer Rim’s population much needed medical support, sparking the start of several largescale riots on Kabaira and other Delgas located worlds. Local authorities, denied the very same medical supplies, seem reluctant to put an end to the riots.
Earlier in the week, several Kabaira located warehouses owned by Delgas Medical were stormed by armed criminals and emptied of their contents. Following shortly after, a convoy being operated by Delgas was struck in an attack only minutes after exiting hyperspace. It too was robbed, and the crews of the cargo vessels left stranded in space.
“When will this chaos end? What sort of society breeds criminals like this? Denying billions of people much needed medical supplies in order to turn a profit! I cannot begin to comprehend the repercussions of this series of acts. I want those responsible brought to justice!” Stated Delgas Medical Chairman Zim Bartels in a press release in the primary research facility on Kabaira.
Delgas Medical has already begun allotting much of its stock funds into an investigation, and the subsequent arrest of those responsible for this heinous crime.
